The most noticeable feature of the new SALTIGA Tournament rods is the Winthrop Epic straight butt, the lightest straight butt on the market. Winthrop has partnered with Daiwa Australia to create a longer gimbal insert to accommodate the desires of top Sydney game anglers who helped with the development of this series. The blanks are constructed from Daiwa’s HVF Nanoplus graphite making the rods lightweight and responsive for best lure performance. Fuji Stainless Steel silicon carbide (SiC) guides make sure even the lightest of top shots are provided smooth and stable line flow through the guides.
Available in three actions catering to the light-tackle game market throughout Australia, the new SALTIGA Tournament rods are the perfect match to the SALTIGA Lever Drag reels and will be a welcome addition to many offshore anglers’ arsenals.
