The brand new 21 Freams LT is the first reel to feature brand new ZAION V construction. ZAION V is an evolution of Daiwa’s famous ZAION technology and enables the use of this material in reels much lower in price than ever before. ZAION V is significantly stronger than the previous Carbon Light material from the 18 Freams LT and will deliver a much more rigid body. ZAION V is also much lighter than traditional composite materials which also means the new Freams LT is not only stronger, but also much lighter.
21 Freams LT continues the global success of the previous model with Tough Digigear design and LT concept combining to produce a lightweight but powerful reel. Daiwa’s ATD Drag produces smooth & consistent drag performance and the LC ABS spool & Airbail architecture means longer casts and less line trouble.

- Zaion V Body: A new generation of lightweight Daiwa’s resin and carbon material. The Zaion V material is both strong and incredibly lightweight.
- Touch Digigear: A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is our brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength.
- Mag-Sealed Body: Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
- Finesse Drag: Designed for low start-up inertia finesse applications, and where minute incremental adjustment, and silky smooth consistent drag pressure is required.
- CRBB: Lasting 12 times longer than standard stainless steel bearings Daiwa’s CRBBs feature specially treated stainless steel, and a protective shield on the bearing race that seals out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives. The result is a longer lasting bearing that’s protected from the corrosive elements that destroy traditional bearings.
