The short bill minnow stands as a global standard lure, boasting a silhouette that mimics real baitfish. Typically favored at depths of 1 to 2 meters year-round, deeper waters exceeding 2.5 meters seldom see their use. Addressing this gap, O.S.P introduces an innovative solution. Our focus? Minnows tailored for depths of approximately 3.5 to 4 meters, utilizing bait tackle. While the average minnow spans 7 to 13 cm, we opted for a 9 cm class variant. This size strikes a balance, offering the weight necessary for extended flight distance and diving capabilities while resembling baitfish within that depth range.
Setting it apart from crankbaits, we honed in on its slender profile, a hallmark of minnows. Long bill minnows, in particular, struggle with achieving significant casting distances, exacerbated by larger lip sizes meant to differentiate their range.
Enter the ASURA89EX-DR. This lure enables impressive casting even with sizable lips, thanks to a strategic shift in the center of gravity using W tungsten, coupled with a streamlined body reducing air resistance. Its action is characterized by a honeycomb body, maintaining both lightweight and strength, facilitating tight movements with swift swim starts and high pitches. Sporting an elongated lip, it exhibits remarkable evasion capabilities, diving steeply and reaching depths of up to 4.2 meters from the water's surface. Even post-twitch, it maintains range and executes sharp slides.
