STELLA SW which has achieved many results both in Japan and overseas has been remodeled with a number of technologies. Gained further advantages such as improved drag performance by XX TOUGH DRAG, improved castability by INFINITYLOOP, improved gear strength and durability by INFINITYXROSS, prevention of line trouble by ANTITWISTFIN, and more. Also, details such as the addition of a waterproof seal to the handle knob and increasing in diameter of the drag knob have been reviewed and upgraded in every direction. New STELLA SW is unleashed with further refined performance to face the big fish head-on in the saltwater scene.

Each drag component designed for intense driving exclusively utilise metal and abrasion-resistant carbon washers tailored for the Stella SW D. In addition to the traditional drag washer located at the bottom, we have enhanced the spool structure to accommodate a larger washer at the top. This advancement significantly boosts the drag's durability. 

Thanks to the combined improvements in the drag structure and the incorporation of an integrated heat sink, we have also achieved a reduction in drag force loss due to heat by approximately 30% compared to earlier models.

INFINITYLOOP technology enhances flight distance, casting feel, and drag smoothness by winding the line in an orderly and precise manner. There are three notable focus points. The first is setting the optimal thread winding pitch for saltwater models. This model is tightly wound with a pitch narrowed to about half that of the previous model, providing a clear casting feel and thoroughly suppressing line troubles. Additionally, when the drag is activated, tight winding reduces the number of times the line moves up and down, allowing for smooth delivery.

The ANTI-TWIST FIN mechanism features flexible fins placed near the line roller section to actively suppress line slack. By using an elastic material for the fins, damage caused when the knot part is rolled up is also prevented. This innovative fin ensures the line stays securely on the spool, preventing frustrating tangles and ensuring it winds up tightly under tension. This feature is especially useful for fishing techniques prone to line slack, such as squid jigging.

The intrusion of seawater is a significant threat in saltwater fishing, as it can corrode metal parts and drastically reduce the reel's performance. To combat this, the Stella SW is equipped with X-SHIELD and X-PROTECT technologies, which provide comprehensive protection against water intrusion.
